Easter Sunday. We went to church, 132 out. Very nice. Class of 12 confirmed. In 30’s. Rainy and snow flurries. Snowed in evening.

Washed clothes. Had a few snow flurries in morning. Wrote Elmer’s. Victor Hanson 78. Well known athlete died in Syracuse. He is a relative.

Lyle Hanson 52, died this morning at 8:30. Marion called. Funeral Thursday. Got 2 piece blue dress from Lane Bryant. Raining and windy.

Merrill went over town. We went to funeral home in PM. Went shopping afterwards. Ate at Burger King. Nice day. Rebekah’s, but I didn’t go.

A beautiful day. Like summer. Lyle’s funeral. A large funeral. We went to Dilly’s after funeral. We went to Sackets for Joel but he changed his mind. Got church mimeograph machine from Stockers. Had coffee with the Barnes.

Sunday School paper drive. Merrill helped. Another great day, 80’s. Washed clothes. People from motel moved into green house, Randell’s. Washed clothes. Sent order to Wards for 3 piece yellow outfit, $52.

We went to church, 8 there. Ray Van Tassel and Bethany Walworth baptized. Much colder. Vickie Haggerty, Patty and kids here for supper. Jim and Explorers working Autorama in city.

Jill enters hospital at 1:30. she is in a room with 2 other little girls. Patty called ab out 6:30. She just got home. Robbins put chimney back on center. Nice day but cooler.

Jill has operation. Tonsils and adenoids. She got back to her room about 1:30 PM. UMW District meeting at Evans Mills. I didn’t go. About 100 there. Called Jim in evening. Jim speaks for Joel’s school class. PPR Meeting at Mills, 7:30 Catherine Salisbury, Pulaski, candidate.

Merrill went with Horton to take Social Security paper to carthage. We went to hospital to see Jill. Took her a doll. Jill went home in evening. Several people called about church affairs. We saw Mrs. Hale. She was sedated.

Merrill helped at Horton’s. Didn’t get home until almost 6 PM. We went for groceries. Wrote Vern’s. Cold, 30’s. Darcy here with Girl Scout cookies. $1.50 a box this year. Elwood Gardner died this morning, 79 years.

A little warmer today. windy. Washed clothes. Merrill cleaned the church. got skirt and slacks but no blazer from Wards. Too big. got nice letter from Uncle Berl.

Real warm, 61°. Merrill worked out side most of day. Run cleaner on floor. I put lace on blouse. My arms bad in evening.

Daylight saving time begins. Beautiful day. We went to church. Rev. Owen there to let folks know about our new woman minister. We went to Orv’s, Don’s and Jim’s. Had supper at Jim’s. Don has new truck and manure spreader.

Merrill to Hall’s to build fence. Terry wasn’t there so Merrill came home. he went to Mills first for gloves and window glass. Doris Haggerty called in evening to say Aunt Betty Haggerty is real bad. She went to Syracuse for a gall stone, but they discovered she has cancer of the pancreas.

Jim, Patty and Jill here for lunch. They got new lounge chair. They brought us there large lounge chair. Also a berry set they got free. I got yellow blazer from Wards. Carl Horton went to Upstate Hospital for back tests.

Rebekah’s, only 7 out. Lois Lowry home from hospital from heart attack. Merrill helped Terry build fence in PM. Nice day, but not very warm. Washed.

Merrill helped Horton’s take Social Security papers to Carthage. Warmer today. Merrill helped Howard build fence in PM. Wrote Vern’s. Washed clothes. Nice today in the 650’s. Got fuel oil @ $1.13 gal.

We went for groceries. Merrill worked at Halls in PM. Washed clothes. Betty haggerty, 77 died in evening of cancer.

Doris called to say Aunt Betty Haggerty died at 10 PM last night. Merrill worked Halls in PM. Washed clothes. Roasted turkey. Called Vern’s.

We went to church. Patty and kids here for supper. We went to Lowville funeral home in evening with Cheryl, Lyla, and Aunt Maude. Lots of people there. My diarrhea terrible

Aunt Maude has throat dilation. Betty Haggerty’s funeral, 2 PM at Methodist Church in Lowville. A very large funeral. We went to Winifred’s after funeral. A real warm, sunny day.

Dr. Robert’s 4 PM. Gave me prescription for diarrhea. Everything okay. Merrill got new work shoes at K-Mart, $20.00 We had supper with Ken’s. Got home at 9:30

Merrill drove tractor at Horton’s all day and evening, 10 hours. Washed colored clothes. Got letter and card from Vern and June and boys. Vivian T was over in PM. Beautiful day.

Mother and Daughter Banquet in new fire hall. Over 100 there. Catholic group and Tracy group sang. Patty and kids came. Joel stayed with Grandpa. Merrill worked at Horton’s in AM and Hall’s in PM. Got first letter from Mrs. Salisbury. We went for groceries.

In the 80° today. Great. I made cookies and cup cakes. Merrill worked at Horton’s and Hall’s. I sent Town and Country and bulletins to Mrs. Salisbury. Kevin and Barb Drake had baby boy today, Dustin Douglas Drake, 8 lb, 11 oz.

Merrill went to land fill and to Halls. Paid $70.55. Jim, Pat and kids here in PM and for supper. Brought me orchid for Mother’s day. Mrs. Barnes tests okay. No sign of cancer. Gave Jim $50 for chair and anniversary.

Mother’s day. We went to church. Went to Jim’s for dinner in PM. Wore my orchid kids gave me. Vern called in evening. All well. Rained about all day. Cleared in evening.

Jim and Pats 13th anniversary. I wrote Catherine Salisbury at Drew University. Merrill worked at Hall’s most of day. He mowed back lawn in evening for first time this year. Marion called to say Orv is in hospital. He took Valium pills. Called Arts.

Merrill worked at Hall’s. I started cleaning upstairs. Washed bedding. Took darts in dress. Merrill mowed rest of lawns in evening.

Rained in AM. We went to bank and store. Got cards to send. Merrill built fence at Horton’s in PM. Paid him $42.00. I went to Lodge. 9 there.

Sent Patty card, letter, and $5.00 for birthday. I went to city with Cheryl and Aunt Maude. Got red geraniums for cemetery. Went to see Orv in hospital. Much better today. Richard there. Merrill worked all day at Horton’s.

Merrill planted most of garden. Armed Forces Day. We went to Sharon’s baby shower at Marilyn’s in evening. Patty’s 35th birthday. We went for groceries. Mrs. Salisbury called in morning. Got letter from Melba. Orv went home from hospital.

We went to church, 62 out. We went to 25th anniversary party at Fire Hall for Merlin and Sina Shorkey. Lots there. Stopped at flea market for first time. Merrill planted some more garden. Cloudy

Merrill worked ground for Horton’s all day. I froze asparagus. Merrill planted garden corn in evening. Beautiful day. Got new phone book. Carl Scee called. Had talked with Florence Hogaboom.

Jim and Gloria Collins have baby boy, Noah Jason. We went for groceries. Stopped at Aunt Maude’s. She gave us parsnips. Gave her cabbage plants. Merrill cleaned church. Put in new candles. Got letter from June. Merrill mowed rest of lawn. Sent hemocult to Dr. Robert’s. Rained hard in evening.

Mrs. Salisbury come. She and her son Bruce got to Leah’s at 11 PM. Planted rest of garden. Finished mowing lawns. FFA Banquet. Made molded salad. Fed 57.

Don Gehm’s 71st birthday. Rev. Cameron’s 69th birthday. We helped Rev. Catherine Salisbury move in her furniture. We went to High School to hear Islanders in evening. Only a few there. Youth group met for rally at fire hall.

PPR meeting at 7 PM. All there. Eleanor went over with me to see Mrs. Salisbury. We went to church. 70 there. Rev Salisbury there for first time. Ken, Eleanor, and Tammy came in evening. Eleanor went to see Aunt Maude while I was at meeting.

Administrative Council meeting at 8 PM. We went. We owe a $3800 fuel bill. Wrote Leslie and Uncle Berl. Rained today.

Merrill worked at Horton’s in PM. Too wet to work ground.

Vern, June and boys here in evening a few minutes on way home from conference. Neighbor night at Rebekah’s. 19 present. Washed clothes. Merrill washed car. Merrill worked at Horton’s in PM and evening. Church Conference starts at Potsdam.

Merrill worked all day at Horton’s. We went for groceries. At noon, very hot and muggy. Washed porch windows.

Vern’s appointment with Dr. Scanlon. Merrill worked at Horton’s. Elaine went to hospital. She had a baby girl, 8 pounds, 2 ounces, Melissa Joy Horton. The cord was around her throat. I went to hospital with Rev. Salisbury in evening to see her. Mrs. Salisbury looked at washer at Sears. Washed clothes.

Jim’s have new water bed. We went over to parsonage and to landfill. We stopped at Hall’s. Millicent very low. Kids staying at hospital. Merrill mowed lawns. Patty and kids here. Jim and scouts at Portaferry. Mrs. Salisbury here. Got water bill, $70.00

Howard and Evelyn’s 30th anniversary. A nice day. We went to church, 51 there. Aunt Maude here for lunch. We went to cemetery. Took geraniums, glad bulbs, lilacs, and tulips.
