I went to clinic, blood count, 12.5. Heavy rain in morning. Got Easter card from Vern’s. My hand a lot better today.

Roy and Carol Matteson have baby boy, Micha David. Dr. Roberts called. No iron. B-12 shot every other week. I’m responding to iron shots. Don’t have to go to Syracuse. Called Jim. He’s working on strike at Northland. Wrote Vern’s. Maundy Thursday Service at Mills. Lots from Philadelphia there.

Good Friday. Raining. Water in parsonage basement again. Merrill went to Agway and got a sump pump for parsonage. Nice service in evening. 60 out. Fireman pumped out parsonage cellar. I made donuts.

Nice Day, 50° Ground white with snow. Bob G called to say Rev. David Quick will be our new pastor, July 1. Made rolls. Gave Boots a bath and washed. Merrill cleaned church. Run cleaner here also.

Easter Sunday. We went to Sunrise service, and church, 147 there. Very beautiful. “He is Alive”. Clarence Chamberlain died yesterday, heart attack. We went to Vern’s after church. Stayed all night. Beautiful day. Bob and Jane K Mowott have baby girl, Jean Elizabeth, 6 pounds, 10 ounces.

Merrill and I went to Wolcott in PM. Mother very cozy at Elmer’s. Elmer and Melba in Niagara Falls. Charlene and Dennis caring for mother. Saw Kessel’s and Leslie. Grace is coming. Stayed all night at Vern’s. Jim and Pat at Curtis Apartments in evening.

Orv Haggerty got home from hospital. Went on Thursday. We left Vern’s at 10 AM. Stopped at Ken’s. Only he and Holly there. Eleanor and Elaine in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Had lunch at Don’s. Don had income tax done. Visited Marg and Roy. Her leg sore so can’t walk on it for awhile. Called Patty.

Rainy after a beautiful weekend. Boots and I tired out. Rebekah’s had service at Gouverneur funeral home for Louise Cragon before Lodge, 6:30. I didn’t go to either. Merrill went for groceries. Ruth Schell called and invited us to party Saturday night.

UMW at CEC. Nancy Davis program. I didn’t go as my arthritis hurt so. Washed clothes. I’m still very sore and lame. Martin Hagan died today, 88 years.

Dentist appointment 2:30 PM. One filled, x-rays, and checkup, $26. Got a few groceries. I called Mary H to tell her Giltz house is for sale. District meeting at Antwerp, I didn’t go. Sent Orv card.

Mrs. Cameron called to say Hauser Company fellow is arriving today. [church windows] Called several about it. Merrill went to Hall’s to build fence but didn’t stay. Hauser didn’t come.

Some snow during night. Boot’s 8th birthday. He had cupcakes with candles. Joel, Jill and Patty here for lunch. She brought out wash. Her new Sears washer won’t be delivered until Tuesday. Men from Hauser’s got to church about 3 PM. Merrill went over with contract.

Saw Oren at hospital for 2nd time. I went to hospital for lab for tests, $25.99 now. Got eye drops and B-12. We went to see movie Coal Miner’s Daughter. Very good. We went to Sackets for Jolie and Jill. Jim and Pat went to Syracuse.

I called Dr. Roberts. Blood count 11.3. I’m to have lab tests in a month. B-12 every other week. We raked on lawns. Becky helped. Went for groceries. Got the kids each a big ball.

President Carter aborted plans to free hostages in Iran. 8 service men killed in plane crashes trying. On TV all day. Merrill worked at Hall’s. I cleaned living room. Dr. Roberts called. I’m to start iron shots again for 1 month.

Fast time begins. Pulpit exchange. Rev. William Curtis, Black River here. 95 out. Had refreshments after church. We went to church. We went to Lowville in PM. Aunt Maude went with us. Went to Uncle Len’s and Pauline’s and Garmon’s store.
