Palm Sunday. We went to church. Took Joel. Marty Rudes son baptized. Also Judy Van Tassel and Huntress baby girl. 97 out to church. Ground covered with snow in morning when we got up. Jim, Pat and girls got back at 9:15 PM.

Wilson’s on Bechard farm auction. Jim and Merrill went to city. Merrill got work shoes at $16.95 at Apex store. Washed clothes. Sent income tax. Merrill paid $63.40 Social Security.

Gladys Simonds farm auction. Patty’s doctor appointment. Lynn butchered our beef, $10. Patty goes into hospital May 4th. Jim’s got new Dodge Aspen station wagon at Goshen’s at Adams. I feel punk today.

Rebekah’s entertain staff, 6:30 supper. I made Rickety Uncle cookies. 14 present. Jim, Patty and kids went back to Sackets to stay. Beautiful day. Took down stairway curtains.

Wrote Vern’s and Mom. Merrill went to Philadelphia to mail them. Took off porch storm doors. Got note from Mrs. Beardsley. Jim’s came in evening for rest of their stuff. Had their new car. We didn’t go to communion service at Mills church.

I went to Philadelphia for groceries. Got Lily plant from MYF $6.50. I cleaned porch. 75° today. Sure hot. Merrill built fence. We went to church in evening. Very good, about 50 out. Got card from Vern’s.

Have felt terrible all day. Cleaned floors. Still hot, 80°. Washed my hair. Lynn took beef to Fikes cooler, $5 a week.

Easter Sunday, 90°. I went to Cantata at 9 AM. Too sick to go to church. Merrill went to church. Good crowds to both. Jim’s here for supper. They did most of work for me. Vern called. He goes to Iowa Monday.

B-12 shot. Still hot, 80°. Nice breeze. I went to Marilyn’s for shot in PM. Washed clothes. Lloyd’s got dead cow. Merrill built fence. Vern goes to DeMoine Iowa. PNG’s here in evening, 11 out. Esther and I had cheese, crackers, and heavenly hash.

I don’t feel so good today. Not so hot. Cut up beef at Marilyn’s. Nine of us worked at it. Jim’s got half of it. Patty brought out stuff for supper. Sure tasted good. I wrapped over 100 pounds of hamburg in evening. Freezer full.

Susan Haggerty’s shower. I didn’t go as I didn’t feel good. I cut out and started blue sewing outfit. Washed my hair. Merrill tried to fix yard light but ladder wasn’t long enough. Paid Lynn $30 for butchering.

Fast time again, 2 AM. We went to church, 86 out. Adult baptism this PM. We went out to Mom’s. Juanita at her mother’s burial in Potsdam. Stopped at Fays for eye drops. Got white sneakers, $2.99. Called Ken’s from Mom’s. Jim called in evening. Girls have chicken pox.

Patty goes to hospital today. Merrill mowed front lawn for first this year in evening. Vern called. Aunt Maude and Mrs. Cameron called in evening. Rained hard and very windy during night. Aunt Maude said Aunt Keitha is in hospital, Mercy, for her blood.

FFA Banquet. I furnished coffee. 4-H in evening, Fruit Delights lesson II. Jim here in PM and for supper. Called Mom in evening. Patty had her gall bladder operation today. She is in a lot of pain. Are giving her morphine. Jolie and I went to Philadelphia. I got B-12 shot at Marilyn’s.

Party at Legion for Ivan Hales 80th birthday. We didn’t go. We went to see Mrs. Beardsley. Took her yellow mum plant. She gave us a Scripture quilt she made. Merrill mowed 2 lawns. Linda L rode in 4-H bike-a-thon. Called Patty. She answered phone. Still has a lot of pain.
